Tips for long unstructured days upstate

Exercise- go walking and enjoy the cool country air and beautiful scenery or contact Tanya and arrange an awesome class in your colony; Either a regular class if you have the space or water aerobics. There’s always room in the pool!

Speaking of pool, swimming is a great exercise- do a few laps the first day and work your way up as the days go on. Not a great swimmer? Don’t be shy. Ask the lifeguard for lessons. PLUS you can always walk your laps in the shallow end.

Drink, drink, drinkwe often mistake thirst for hunger; It is always important to drink water but when outdoors for a long period of time, it is even more essential.

Stick to the plan- as I’ve told clients before, we don’t abandon you just because it’s summer. You can schedule a follow-up session in our upstate location or over the phone so you stay on track.

Try out new recipes a lot of people don’t have time for this during the school years. Bring along some healthy recipes to try a new one every few days.

Enjoy summer fruits- getting bored of apples and grapes? Change it up with some delicious summer fruits like nectarines, peaches and plums, just to name a few.

Find a diet buddy- even if everyone else is slacking off, it is easier to stay on track when you are doing it with a friend. You won’t be the only one sticking to salad at the taste-a-thon.
