TIP: Eat frozen foods slowly to avoid a brain freeze!

While we recommend eating slowly regardless, another good reason is to avoid a brain freeze when eating frozen foods like ice cream and frozen shakes.

Also dubbed ‘ice cream headaches’, they occur when something cold enough touches the roof of your mouth for a period of time. One second too long and that cold triggers blood vessels in the front of your head to swell. This rapid, swelling reaction is that familiar, awful pain you know as ‘brain freeze’.

Simply eat and drink your frozen foods slower.
