Yes, fat-free foods can be a great alternative to foods that are higher in fat however, that’s not to say that you shouldn’t still pay very close attention to nutrition facts. 

When removing the fats from foods, it also eliminates a lot of the flavor. To make up for the discrepancy, other ingredients are either added or increased. A lot of times, the sugar and salt amounts are increased.

So, just remember to always be mindful and read the labels.
