Cookie Number 7 is out! Read on if you want to know how it all got started…
People often make the assumption that my TAP line all just…appeared. Like, first there were none and then there was… a whole line! So how DID I get started and go from being just a nutritionist, to a nutritionist with a whole food line?
As they say, “necessity is the mother of all invention”. Spending several years listening to people’s dieting woes and qualms, I kept hearing what they missed in their lives in terms of food. People wanted to literally “have their cake and eat it too”; as in, eat cake and still lose weight. I like a good challenge, so I decided to make it happen. Now for me, this was a double challenge because I hadn’t cooked or baked in years as you may have read in my previous confessions. I enlisted my staff and my husband, who has a lot of catering experience, and we set out to make our first product, a muffin.
It took many tweaks until we came out with the first product. Some recipes were low calorie but didn’t taste good, while some were delicious but the calories were too high. We could have settled on some mediocre options but I was determined to deliver deliciousness. I really wanted the healthy snack items I created, to work for daily use. So, we kept experimenting until we got it to be lower in calorie content and perfect in taste and texture. The products were an instant hit.
Fast forward two years later, and I still commit myself daily to bringing 100% to my clients and fans. We now have multiple options for snacks including the NEW TAP Snickerdoodle Cookie that I can’t wait for you to try!
We also have TAP Mini Muffins in regular and a gluten free options.
