Plateau in dieting is when you’re following your plan, but the scale won’t budge. It’s normal to hit a plateau however, you shouldn’t be stuck in it for long with the right meal plan. 

A healthy plan NEEDS to be adjusted as you progress to ensure a gradual, steady, and healthy weight-loss journey. Try to stay away from “one size fits all” diets, and stick to working with a nutritionist that will guide you according to your needs and progress, and is there to adjust your plan for you if and when you hit a plateau.
