Tanya’s Tip of the Week: The Salty Truth

Ok, ok… so it’s not news that salt can cause water retention which causes bloating, nor is it news that the bloating goes down once that water weight is eliminated; but even so, feeling bloated can be quite discouraging and can knock you off track, especially when the scale reads that water weight.

Now, I’m not saying throw all salt “out the door”, but you can certainly try lowering your sodium intake altogether. For those of you that absolutely love and need your salt, just try to avoid high intake the day before you get weighed, so the scale reads more accurately and you don’t get discouraged.
