Tanya’s Tip of the Week: Ball Your Melon

Melons are sweet, delicious, filling, and healthy. Melons contain nutrients that may help with blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and bone health among other things. They are also mainly made up of water and contain electrolytes, so it’s an excellent fruit to have during warmer months. A half cup of melon counts as a fruit on the plan, and I find that when you ball a melon, it makes eating it much more fun. Make sure to save the excess juice to add to your next glass of water to add some flavor.
