This holiday celebrates the harvest in all its plentiful bounty. We taste the fruits, nuts, grains, and vegetables we’re accustomed to as well as the ones we enjoy only on this holiday.
Now while all the traditional options are on the healthier side of the spectrum, it’s easy to mindlessly munch and think “it’s healthy, so I can have that much more”. I wanted to remind you that while we are dealing with healthy fats, sugars, carbs, proteins, etc…, overeating can cause spikes in sugar levels, weight gain, and bloating among other things.Just plan ahead so you can stick to your meal plan. You can still celebrate this beautiful holiday and keep to your healthy guidelines.
