Growing up, many of us were taught to finish our plates if we wanted dessert or to go play. While it’s a good practice in terms of not wasting food, it can contribute to overeating and ignoring our body’s signals that we’re full.
A simple solution is to use smaller plates. You can still fill it up but you won’t have that extra room to overfill it. This will help you stick to better portion control while not wasting food.
