Tanya’s Tip of the Week: Let’s Talk Popcorn

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that popcorn makes for a great alternative to junky snacks. What I love about making popcorn, is that you can be creative with the flavoring.

You can go with the obvious salt option, or mix it up:

Black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne and other spices. You can also use sweeteners.

Use the plain popcorn as your base and try out the many different combinations for a delicious snack that will never get boring.

TIP: Buy a reusable silicone popcorn maker. You can find them for less than $12 on Amazon. They’re inexpensive, will save you money instead of buying the microwavable bags, easy to wash and handle instead of using a pot over a stove and you can make the popcorn YOUR way.

Homemade popcorn with no oil- 1 oz. counts as a snack
