This is a myth.
The virus itself doesn’t cause weight loss however, the symptoms may cause you to eat less.
Symptoms such as loss of smell and taste, diarrhea, sore throat and nausea among others, can easily cause you to lose appetite. If u see a loss on the scale, it isn’t a real loss, only a temporary one.
Remember, you DO need to eat in order to keep up your strength and energy to fight the virus. You may want to consult your doctor to discuss options that would specifically suit your needs.
