Sure, a lot of foods contain protein however, that’s not to say they’re the healthiest. Try some lean proteins instead. Among many more, here are some options:

  • Beans & Lentils
  • Wild Salmon
  • Low-fat or Nonfat Dairy
  • Chia Seeds
  • Sun-Dried Tomatoes
  • Tofu & Other Soy Foods
  • Guava
  • Nuts, Nut Butters & Seeds
  • Plain Greek yogurt
  • Beans, peas and lentils
  • Most light fleshed fish
  • Skinless Chicken or Turkey
  • Spinach
  • Egg whites
  • 90% (or Leaner) Ground Beef
  • Light Canned Tuna
  • Artichokes
