Personal trainers are often a foreign idea to people. I think they get the sense that it’s something only some beginners or very athletic people do.
Here are some reasons why that’s not true:
1. Trainers can tell you how to train for your body type so that you can do more productive exercises in a shorter time frame.
2. There is a squat, and then there is a proper squat. You don’t realize how many exercises you are doing incorrectly. Personal trainers will watch your steps and show you the right ways to do squats, planks, lunges, etc. It’s easy to get injured if you don’t know what you’re doing, and you don’t want to waste your time on results you’re not going to get.
3. Motivation is one of the keys to determination. It can be difficult to keep up the pace on your own, so having someone holding you accountable for working out properly can really keep that energy going.
Even just a single session with a professional can help you gain the knowledge you need in order to make your workouts really count.
