Pausing during a workout is 100% okay!
I’ll see people pushing themselves to an unhealthy edge, and I’ll often hear terms like: “I can’t stop,” “Push harder,” “I’m not a quitter,” “I’ll rest when I’m dead.”
Instead of pushing yourself to your breaking point, you can try setting a goal to get through the whole workout regardless of how many times you pause or how well you do; or decide that by your 5th or 6th pause, you’ll end this workout for the day and build up to completing it in the future as you become stronger and your body becomes more familiar with the workout.
Listen to your body and pause as needed.
