Did you know?! Cleaning helps depression

Makes total sense, doesn’t it?

When you’re depressed, one of the things getting put off is cleaning. You continue to add to the clutter because you’re just not feeling up for adulting. However, studies show that cleaning may actually help.

Physical clutter leads to mental clutter as well and your environment does have an effect on your mood and mental health. You know that amazing feeling you get when you sit down to enjoy the room you just cleaned? That’s because you have a sense of accomplishment; you were productive and organization in itself is soothing along with the physical act of cleaning.

PLUS cleaning is a great way to be active too, which in itself promotes mental health. The more you weigh, the more calories you burn but as an example, a 150-pound person will burn approximately 99 calories doing 30 minutes of housework.

Happy Cleaning!
